18 Click here	In the Outer Banks to celebrate the centennial of the Wright Brother's First Flight and in the spirit of the wild ponies that run free in Currituck, the island organized these life-size statues of winged horses. These animals were painted with scenes and colors and representations of island life. Local businesses purchased these winged beasts and displayed them outside.
